Today we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on behind the lab doors—meet Goby, our pocket‑sized explorer robot that brings “tinypresence”. Ever wonder how a mouse might see the world? You could explore the interior of a LEGO house, behind your desk or that hidden nook behind your bookshelf. Goby was born out of that curiosity, and we’re thrilled to announce that it’s now live on Kickstarter.
What makes Goby special? Just power it up, scan the QR code on its OLED display, and you’re connected. And if you’re feeling generous (or just want to share the fun), you can pass along its unique URL so someone else can jump in from anywhere. It’s built on the ESP32, and it runs the full WebRTC stack, meaning you get secure, real‑time control and live video streaming—no fancy apps or cumbersome setups required.
This project is a true labor of love—a blend of high-tech tinkering and a passion for exploring miniature worlds. And while Goby is our latest creation, we’re already working on a related project that builds on this idea. We can’t reveal too much just yet, but rest assured, there’s more exciting innovation on the horizon.
